Alex Perez isn’t the real pull out merchant, that’s now Manel Kape who was supposed to fight Matheus Nicolau this fight. Instead Alex Perez has been part of a bad strings of him pulling out and his opponent pulling out. But in just under two months, Alex Perez has fought twice. While he lost to Muhammad Mokaev, his win over fifth ranked Matheus Nicolau may put him ahead in the rankings now.
So what’s next for Alex Perez? Flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja is busy fighting Steve Erceg this week at UFC 301. That means other violent options are on the table like Kai Kara-France, Brandon Royval, and Amir Albazi. It will give all four fighters a chance to prove themselves as the next best contender for the winner of Pantoja and Erceg this weekend.
The co-main event saw Bogdan Guskov knock out UFC Veteran Ryan Spann in two rounds after being wrestled in the first round. Now Bogdan Guskov is ranked and will have some pretty cool fights to look forward to next.
Karine Silva defeated Ariane Da Silva (Lipski) via decision. I know I said da Silva for Lipski twice or three times. My bad. Now Karine Silva is on her way to a top ten match up in the women’s flyweight division.
