Chapters:
0:08 Brandon Moreno is blocked in
5:23 No steps back for Steve Erceg
9:39 The demise of Drew Dober
12:19 Raul Rosas the future?
As great as Brandon Moreno is, he's sort of blocked in at flyweight. With three losses to the current champion, Alexandre Pantoja, it's highly improbable that Brandon Moreno will ever fight for a flyweight title while he's around. This means it is just legacy and stay-busy fights for Brandon Moreno. Brandon Royval? Tatsuro Taira? Petr Yan? We will lay all these options out for Brandon Moreno.
Unfortunately, that loss to Brandon Moreno is Steve Erceg's third straight loss. Once the darling up and comer to the UFC faithful, Steve Erceg is now in no man's land. That doesn't mean cut Steve Erceg. But he needs a step back. Fighting Alexandre Pantoja, Kai Kara-France and Brandon Moreno back to back to back did him no favors. Steve Erceg needs a step back.
Drew Dober was once the toughest man in the lightweight division. He could hit and take a hit. This led to several firefights. But those fights have taken it's toll on Drew Dober's chin. Now, he's been knocked out by Manuel Torres and it seems that the sturdy, and action packed Drew Dober is done.
Raul Rosas managed to get a great win over our friend, Vince Morales. Is he the future of the bantamweight division. With top notch wrestling, Raul Rosas does seem to be getting better. Is he the future of bantamweight? Only time will tell.
